Maker-Spaces connect students to the future and spur innovation across a broad range of technologies. IDL Maker-Spaces are flexible to implement in a very short time frame and come at a minimal cost.
Designed and developed completely in-house, the state-of-the-art IDL STEM Kits are reusable and very cost-effective. The kits used cover all STEM activities during the sessions for learners from Grades 1 to 12th for the full academic year.
Our integrated pedagogy ensures that students are getting the upper hand when it comes to learning about disruptive technological advancements in Robotics, Drones, IoT etc. Our unique "flipped classroom" model enables students to learn in-depth and at their own pace online, anytime, anywhere.
IDL STEM Facilitators are trained to deliver the IDL programme based on an engineering design process with open-ended exploration. Our facilitators motivate learners to participate in the activities and learn by doing.
Although STEM projects can be difficult to grade given their open-ended design, our proprietary Assessment Rubrics and STEM Journal ensure that facilitators, parents and authorities have the numbers on record to prove that the program is achieving results.

IDL STEM Programmes cater to students from Grade 1 to 12, with over 400 engaging activities classified in 7 key areas, which are delivered progressively with different challenge levels and appeal to all genders. The activities are student-centered and connections to core academic areas are established in sessions. Advanced learners can choose workshop or club activities to explore the topics in depth.
Today's children are tomorrow's inventors and scientists as long as they are given ample chances to explore and are guided. Our STEM Junior programme is an introduction to the fundamental concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Learners from Grade 1 and 2 are introduced to the world of Robotics and Coding using STEM Kits specifically conceptualized and built for this age group. Overall, the course is designed to focus on the development of creativity, innovative thinking, and problem-solving, both individually and in a team environment at a very young age.
This popular course enables students to conceptualize, design, and build fully functional applications for smartphones and tablets. This is achieved through an intuitive, visual programming environment that simplifies the otherwise complicated process of application development for either iOS or Android Mobile Operating Systems.
IDL 3D Printing class introduces students to the basics of 3D printing and modelling. Our well-crafted curriculum will help participants get a deep understanding of the concepts that 3D printing brings with it. This is achieved through a very structured workshop component where students will go through 3D modelling exercises and will also be able to physically print 3D models.
Coding is the second language of the 21st century and it helps children to build mastery in sequencing skills, counting, problem-solving, logical thinking, cause and effect, and critical thinking. It also helps to develop resilience and the ability to bounce back after a failure. Learning to code while they are young will set them up for a successful future. IDL Code studio offers coding in Scratch, App Inventor and Python for students from Grade 2 onwards.
Our IoT programme enables students to independently design, code, and build IoT projects working with Micro-Controllers, Sensors, Relays, Displays, Keypads etc. They will also learn to code using Arduino IDE basics, create Ethernet and Wi-Fi Shields and to connect with IoT Cloud Platforms. This programme is offered as a club activity or workshops for students from Grade 6 and above who wish to explore the world of IoT.
The future jobs within the commercial sector are ripe for disruption with the rising accessibility of drones. This programme will help students learn to grasp the fundamentals of aerodynamics, understanding of drone components, coding and flying drones both autonomously and for various missions. Students are also taught how to safely fly a drone without violating any Safety, Security, and Privacy laws and within flight restrictions in various zones. IDL Drone programme is offered as a club activity or workshop for students from Grade 6 and above.
Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of Engineering that includes Mechanical, Electronic, Electronics engineering and Coding. Our Robotics programme enables students to make their own complex machines using the IDL Robotics Kits, controllers and sensors and code using Arduino, Raspberry Pi and other embedded systems. The course will help the students acquire a deeper understanding of the code behind the action. It will also give students an opportunity to design and develop a variety of custom mechanical parts and combine them with sensors and custom programming. IDL Robotics programme is offered as a club activity or workshop for students from Grade 3 and above.
This programme gives learners a deeper understanding of the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Students are encouraged to develop real-life solutions and take responsibility for learning on to themselves. The concept of integrated engineering is introduced with Robotics and students reinforce the fundamental understanding of disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Coding. They understand the importance of Safety, Security and Privacy along with developing their work-life skills. The programme is for Grade 6 and above and progresses in multiple levels.
STEM Scholar programme is designed for learners from Grade 3 to 5 and has 3 levels spread over a period of 3 years. The learners work in teams and get hands-on experience to the concept of Mechatronics through the creation of simple and complex machines, and mechanical and electrical models. The programme is specifically focused on the application of STEM concepts and learners develop their 21st Century work-life skills as a team with activities including Robotics, Drones and Coding.
